Sourcing the Best Talent

Notwithstanding our candidate database, we have access to all the relevant job boards and actively utilize search engine optimization and pay-per-click ads on Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, to headhunt passive candidates who may not be generally available in the job market. 

We advertise vacancies across various platforms. Our previous experience with the Sage brand is well-known and Red Ember Recruitment has built a solid reputation in the market, by delivering excellent service and handling our customers and candidates with care and integrity. This draws the best candidates to apply for our vacancies.

Screening of Candidates and Response Handling

We follow a stringent screening process with all candidates, to ensure that only the best and most suitable candidates are submitted for the customer’s consideration.
Red Ember Recruitment has invested in some of the top technologies to shortlist the most excellent talent in the shortest turn-around time. 

We have our own internal Applicant Tracking System and all applications are directed online via our career portal. When applying for a role, the candidate is automatically taken through a job application designed specifically for each job, ruling out unsuitable candidates. 

Competency based interviews are conducted, either face-to-face or via telephone/Skype, to find the best candidates for the detailed job specification obtained from the customer’s HR department or the hiring manager.
Information Provided to Customers

Detailed CV – including work history and duties, education and software skills.

References – at least two, from previous employers.

Criminal check result document(s) – on request.

Credit check– where applicable and on request.

Credential Checking and Assessments

At least two references must be obtained, from previous employers.

The candidate’s fingerprints are recorded electronically by one of our consultants at a Red Ember office, and an illicit activity check is done, on shortlisted candidates or on request, against the AFIS database (Afiswitch Automated Electronic Criminal Record Checks) as well as having access to a vast network of Afiswitch agents in South Africa. 

An ITC / Credit check, with the 4 credit bureaus Transunion, XDS, Compuscan and Experian, will also be done, should the job specification specify that the incumbent will be employed “in a position of Trust and Honesty entailing the handling of Cash and Finances”.
